UPnP (Universal Plug and Play), 它是由一埋網絡協議組成 (ie. SSDP),

目標是讓家內設備互連 (TV -> NAS)

Simple Service Discovery Protocol (SSDP)

它是 UPnP 重要的一環, 在 UDP 上運動, 有 HTTPMU 及 HTTPU

- It accomplishes this without assistance of server-based configuration mechanisms

   IP multicast: 239.255.255.250:1900/UDP

- A text-based protocol based on HTTP over UDP

• Search requests and advertisements: HTTP on top of UDP using multicast (known as HTTPMU)
• Responses to search requests: unicast (known as HTTPU)

HTTP method

• NOTIFY

Announce the establishment or withdrawal of services (presence) information to the multicast group

• M-SEARCH

A client that wishes to discover available services on a network

Responses to such search requests are sent via unicast addressing to the originating address and port number of the multicast request.
