/etc/aliases -> postalias (creates or queries one or more Postfix alias databases)

# same syntax as the right-hand side of aliases(5) entries

~/.forward

Aliases Format:

name: value1, value2, ...

*  A line that starts with whitespace continues a logical line.

value1:

 1. address
 2. /file/name (local(8) for details of delivery to file.)
 3. |command
 4. :include:/file/name (sent to the destinations listed in the named file)

postalias

-q key Search the specified maps for key and write the first value found to the standard output stream.

i.e.

postalias -q email /etc/aliases
