vGPU mode

Use only a guest OS release that is listed as supported by NVIDIA vGPU software with your virtualization software.

In pass-through mode

GPUs based on the Pascal architecture or Volta architecture support only 64-bit guest operating systems. 

IOMMU (known as "Intel VT-d" on Intel-based machines and "AMD I/O Virtualization Technology" on AMD-based machines)

 * Single vGPU benchmark scores are lower than pass-through GPU

In pass-through mode

To confirm GPUs are operating in pass-through mode

lspci -s 04:00.0 -k
